Supporters who attended the Wales v France Six Nations fixture last weekend were the first to see a revamped matchday catering offer at Principality Stadium, as The Welsh Rugby Union (WRU) begins a new food, drink and hospitality partnership with Aramark UK.

The operator has taken over stadium concessions with a focus on faster service and clearer pricing, including redesigned concourse bars, updated menus and a revised customer flow aimed at reducing queues during peak pre-kick-off and half-time periods.

Two new branded outlets, Ankle Tap Bar and Arcade Kitchen, have launched across the concourses, alongside a digital food and drink map to help supporters locate different options, including ‘made without gluten’ products.

New pricing bundles have also been introduced, including a Family Meal Deal featuring two sausage rolls, two soft drinks and a sharing bag of sweets, and a Pie and a Pint promotion offering a choice of pie with a pint of Guinness, lager or cider.

Hospitality packages are also being refreshed, with head chef Ryan Jones leading menu development centred on predominantly Welsh-sourced produce.

Later in the tournament, the venue will host a collaboration with chef Jack Blumenthal and his restaurant Ginger Wings for the Wales v Scotland fixture in the Riverside Terrace.

Gavin Marshall, Chief Financial & Operating Officer at Welsh Rugby Union, said: “This new relationship has already allowed us to refresh the matchday experience, with a new look across our bars and food outlets, offering a smoother service and a wider choice of food for supporters.

“The focus is on improving our fan experience at Principality Stadium making it easier for fans to enjoy great range of options.”

Helen Milligan-Smith, CEO and President, Aramark UK said, “We’re delighted to be appointed as the new food, drink and hospitality partner for the Welsh Rugby Union.

“At Aramark, we’re passionate about creating unforgettable moments that put fans and visitors at the heart of everything we do.

“We’re excited to bring our unique energy and global experience in sport and entertainment to Wales, taking Principality Stadium to new heights.

“This partnership is built on shared values and a strong commitment to the Welsh community.”
