The 3rd Annual Women Mastering Change event, titled ‘Master Change Your Way,’ took place last week at the House of Lords in London.

Hosted by Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson DBE DL, Patron of Mastering Diversity CIC, the closed session aimed to empower women navigating change and recognize the men who support them.

Curated by Bernie Davies, Founder of Bernie Davies Global Ltd and Mastering Diversity CIC, the exclusive gathering brought together a diverse group of business leaders and changemakers. The event showcased inspirational stories, practical insights, and a strong commitment to fostering inclusive progress in the professional world.

Notable attendees included representatives from prominent Welsh organizations such as NatWest, Hugh James, FinTech Wales, Deloitte, Browne Jacobson, Women in Change, Education Wales, Commonwealth Games Team Wales, and Welsh Ambulance Services. Their presence underscored the importance of regional leadership in driving national change.

Among the distinguished speakers were Josianne Nduwiman, representing the First Lady of Burundi Angeline Ndayishimiye, Julia Reynolds (Partner at Leigh Day), Andrew Martin (Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre & Mastering Diversity Board Member), Blessing Mutamba (NatWest), Gwen Morgan-Evans (Hugh James), and Kobena Amissah from the Mastering Diversity Youth Board. Each shared their perspectives on leadership, resilience, and the role of allyship in creating an inclusive environment.

One of the highlights of the session was the premiere of a short film version of the ‘Mastering Diversity’ documentary, co-written and co-produced by Georgios Dimitropoulos. The film offers a powerful glimpse into the voices shaping change today. The full-length documentary is scheduled to premiere on July 10th, 2025, at the NatWest South Wales Hub.

Reflecting on the event, Bernie Davies expressed her gratitude: “It was an honour to welcome such remarkable changemakers to our 3rd annual Women Mastering Change closed session. With the esteemed Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson as our host, the event became a powerful celebration of resilience, empowerment, and purposeful leadership. Together, we affirmed our shared commitment to inclusive progress and creating space for every voice to be heard.”

Looking ahead, the spirit of collaboration established at the event will continue to thrive as Bernie Davies and her Youth Advisory Panel prepare to attend the Global Empowerment and Inclusion Summit at the United Nations in Geneva on June 26th, 2025. The summit will bring together global thought leaders, youth advocates, policymakers, and changemakers to discuss Cultural Exchange, Youth Empowerment, and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) in sports and technology.

This event marks just one of many initiatives led by Mastering Diversity CIC throughout 2025, focusing on addressing cultural challenges and fostering an inclusive Wales. As the organization continues to make strides in promoting diversity, the upcoming summit is set to further amplify their message on an international stage.
