A Pembrokeshire coastal hotel has been recognised among the UK’s top places to stay after being included in a national travel list compiled by The Times.
St Brides Spa Hotel has been named in the publication’s Best 50 Places to Stay in the UK for 2026.
Overlooking the harbour in Saundersfoot, the hotel was selected by The Times’ travel experts as part of the newspaper’s annual guide to notable accommodation across the UK.
The list features a mix of new openings and established hotels that continue to attract visitors with distinctive experiences and locations.
In its review, The Times praised the hotel’s “unbeatable coastal views” and described its spa as an “impressive clifftop spa”, highlighting the infinity pool overlooking Saundersfoot Bay as a particular draw for guests.
The guide also pointed to the hotel’s Cliff Restaurant, noting its focus on seasonal Welsh produce.
The recognition follows a refurbishment programme completed in 2025, which saw all 35 guest bedrooms updated with new furnishings, carpets and air conditioning.
Upgrades were also made to the spa facilities, including the introduction of a Himalayan infra-red salt room, outdoor sauna and spa pool. The restaurant space was also redesigned to make greater use of the hotel’s sea views.
Matt Barnby, Regional Operations Director at The Celtic Collection, said: “It’s great to see St Brides included in The Times’ Best 50 Places to Stay.
“The team here works incredibly hard to create a special experience for every guest, so this kind of recognition really means a lot.
“After the refurbishment last year, it’s also nice to see the hotel, and Pembrokeshire as a destination, getting this sort of national attention.”
The listing further strengthens the reputation of the hotel as a high-end coastal destination in Pembrokeshire, an area known for its dramatic coastline, local food culture and tourism appeal.
Management of St Brides Spa Hotel was taken over by The Celtic Collection in 2024 in partnership with the site’s owner, Port of Milford Haven.
