Waitrose has unveiled a newly refurbished store in Menai Bridge following a multi-million pound investment, as the retailer continues a wider programme of upgrades across its UK estate.

The 11,000 sq ft branch, which employs 110 staff, has reopened after an eight-week transformation, relaunching on Friday 27 March to coincide with its 16th anniversary.

Among the key changes are upgraded meat and fish service counters, including a new dry-aged beef offering, alongside a redesigned bakery positioned as a destination within the store.

Branch manager Fiona Proudfoot said: “The new look and feel of our branch reflects the high quality and standards that Waitrose is renowned for, and we are excited to show everyone around.

“Huge thanks to our customers for being so patient while we completed the transformation of the store. Whether you’re a local or a visitor exploring this beautiful corner of Wales, there is something for all food lovers at Waitrose Menai Bridge.”

The investment forms part of a wider £1bn, multi-year programme by Waitrose & Partners to upgrade its store portfolio and expand its convenience and logistics network.
