Vodafone Business has joined FinTech Wales as a strategic partner, strengthening its involvement in Wales’ fintech and digital technology sector.

The partnership brings Vodafone Business into a network of more than 200 FinTech Wales members spanning financial services, technology providers, academia and the wider innovation ecosystem.

The two organisations will work together to create opportunities for collaboration and knowledge-sharing among high-growth fintech businesses, with a focus on supporting Welsh innovation and strengthening the sector’s position nationally.

The partnership follows Vodafone Business’ role as headline sponsor of the first Wales Fintech Festival, held in Swansea in June 2026.

Vodafone Business is the enterprise arm of VodafoneThree, which is investing £11 billion in UK network infrastructure to expand coverage, accelerate 5G rollout and improve connectivity for businesses, public services and communities.

Sarah Jones, CEO at FinTech Wales, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Vodafone Business as our newest strategic partner. Wales has built a fintech ecosystem that thrives on collaboration, and having an organisation with Vodafone Business’ scale, expertise and commitment to digital innovation strengthens what we can offer our members and the wider community.

“Reliable, future-ready digital infrastructure is essential for ambitious fintech businesses as they develop new technologies, scale into new markets and deliver better outcomes for customers. By working together, we can create more opportunities for collaboration, share knowledge across the ecosystem and continue building Wales’ reputation as one of the UK’s leading destinations for fintech and innovation.”

Casey Cucciniello, Head of Public Sector in Wales at VodafoneThree, said: “Wales has all the ingredients to be a leading destination for fintech innovation, and connectivity has a critical role to play. Through our network investment and our partnership with FinTech Wales, we want to help businesses innovate faster, scale with confidence and reach new markets. Together, we can strengthen Wales’ digital economy, creating more jobs, retaining Welsh talent, and ensuring the benefits of that growth are felt by businesses, communities and public services across the country.”
