Transport for Wales (TfW) will offer free travel to serving military personnel and veterans across its rail network and all TrawsCymru bus services during this year’s Remembrance period.
The initiative, part of an industry-wide commitment, is designed to help members of the Armed Forces community attend remembrance events across Wales and England.
Free travel will be available on all TfW rail services on:
- Friday 7 November 2025 – for travel to and from Cardiff Central Station to attend the TfW Remembrance Service
- Sunday 9 November 2025 – Remembrance Sunday
- Tuesday 11 November 2025 – Armistice Day
The offer will also apply to all TrawsCymru bus services on Remembrance Sunday and Armistice Day.
Eligible individuals include serving military personnel in uniform, and those not in uniform who can show valid identification such as a MOD90 Ministry of Defence-issued ID card, Veterans Railcard, Veterans Oyster card, Ministry of Defence-issued Veterans ID, or other documentation confirming veteran status, such as proof of pension.
TfW says it is proud to honour the sacrifices of those who’ve served our country again this year.
