A popular Cardiff Bay food venue is set to reopen for the 2026 season, with organisers promising its biggest line-up of street food traders to date.
Tiger Yard will officially reopen on Friday 27 March, marking its fourth year in operation, following a preview opening on Thursday 26 March to coincide with the Wales v Bosnia fixture.
The indoor-outdoor food court has become a well-established destination in the capital, known for bringing together independent food traders in a social, open-air setting.
After closing for the winter, the venue will return with a refreshed concept for 2026, introducing a new “Street Food Social” format.
More than 20 guest traders have already been confirmed for the year ahead, complementing a core group of resident vendors including Dirty Bird, Fire & Flank, Meating Point and Dough & Co.
Fire & Flank, one of the venue’s permanent traders, gained national recognition in 2025 after winning best dish at the British Street Food Awards for its beef strip steak served with cheesy garlic mash and chimichurri.
The first wave of guest traders will rotate across the opening weeks, offering a mix of international cuisines.
These include Keralan Karavan, Waroeng Nona, Frico, The Hungry Cowboy and Cegin, reflecting a broad range of influences from Indian and Indonesian street food to smoked meats and Italian-style pizza.
Further traders scheduled to appear throughout the year include Square & Fair, The Dough Thrower, Spitfire BBQ, St Amand BBQ, RGB, Changs Wok, Chow Cartel, Poutine Box, The Real Ting, Dirty Gnocchi, Rascal Burrito and Spice Bag Co.
Tom Symonds, Venue Manager at Tiger Yard, said, “After a long winter, we’re excited to be opening the doors at Tiger Yard again, a sure sign that summer is on the way!
“We’ve got a brilliant mix of returning favourites and new guest traders lined up, and we can’t wait to get started again.
“It also feels like a big year for Cardiff Bay more broadly.
“The wider area is continuing to evolve through major regeneration activity, including the indoor arena and Atlantic Wharf development, and we love being at the heart of all that action.”
