Independent risk management and insurtech business Thomas Carroll has been named one of the top ten companies to work for in Wales.
The employee-owned firm jumped from 18th place last year to ninth in the Best Companies to Work For in Wales 2025 list.
Thomas Carroll also climbed the national sector tables. It was ranked 4th among the best insurance companies to work for in the UK, improving on last year’s 7th place.
The business further secured a spot among the Top 50 Mid-Sized Companies to Work For in the UK, rising from 67th in 2024 to 44th this year.
The group also achieved coveted 2-star status in this year’s Best Companies accreditation, officially recognising it as an “outstanding company to work for”.
The rankings are determined through detailed employee surveys assessing organisational culture, wellbeing, personal development opportunities and the company’s wider commitment to social value.
Thomas Carroll CEO Rhys Thomas said the recognition reflects the progress the business has made since becoming employee-owned two years ago.
“It is amazing to get this recognition as we celebrate two years of being an employee-owned business.
“At Thomas Carroll Group, we pride ourselves on looking after our colleagues as well as our customers.
“They are at the heart of everything we do and keeping our colleagues informed, engaged and enthused makes a big difference to the service we can then give our customers.
“A key part of our culture is community, looking after our colleague community and the communities that we work in.
“This recognition demonstrates that we have created a workplace that epitomises this, empowering colleagues to grow, develop and thrive with us as a business.
“Here’s to 2026 and making the top 5 in Wales!”
