For The Dragon Group, community support is more than a corporate gesture—it’s a core value. The Cardiff-based business has proudly chosen to partner with two leading Welsh charities, Tŷ Hafan and Llamau, providing vital support for families and individuals facing some of life’s toughest challenges.
Tŷ Hafan, one of the UK’s leading children’s hospices, provides comfort, care and specialist support to children with life-shortening conditions and their families. For Sorrel Mayo of Tŷ Hafan, The Dragon Group’s backing is about far more than financial contributions.
“We are incredibly grateful to Rhys, Rowan and Amy and the lovely team at The Dragon Group for choosing Tŷ Hafan as one of their charity partners,” said Mayo. “This partnership means much more than financial support to Tŷ Hafan. From the start, they have shown a commitment to making a real difference to those families in Wales, who face a daily struggle often alone, isolated and afraid, caring for their child whose life will be short.
“At Tŷ Hafan, we believe that no family should have to live their child’s short life alone. By supporting Tŷ Hafan, The Dragon Group is helping to provide specialist care and give families choices about the services they receive, and where and when they receive them. For The Dragon Group’s Managing Director, Rhys Harrington, the decision to partner with Tŷ Hafan was an easy one.
“Choosing to support Tŷ Hafan was a very natural decision for us,” he said. “As a business, we’re more than just about what we do day to day, we want to stand beside families in our community when they need it most. The work Tŷ Hafan does to bring comfort, care, and precious moments to children and their loved ones is truly inspiring. Partnering with them gives us a chance to play a small part in that, and it means a great deal to all of us personally.”
The Dragon Group has also pledged its support to Llamau, Wales’s leading homelessness charity for young people and women. Llamau provides not just safe housing, but the tools, opportunities and confidence needed to create brighter futures.
“Partnering with Llamau is something we feel truly passionate about,” Harrington explained. “Everyone deserves a safe place to call home and the chance to build a brighter future, yet too many young people and women in Wales face homelessness and its challenges alone. Llamau’s work to provide not just shelter, but hope, opportunity and support, is remarkable. We’re proud to support them and to do what we can to help make a difference.”
Llamau has already felt the impact of this partnership, with The Dragon Group taking part in events like the Bubble Rush and preparing to join the charity’s upcoming Sleep On It fundraiser.
“Llamau is delighted to be working in partnership with Dragon Signs,” a spokesperson said. “Their support helps us continue our vital work across Wales, supporting young people and women who are experiencing homelessness to build safer, brighter futures. Llamau was pleased to partner with them at our recent Bubble Rush event and looks forward to their involvement in Sleep On It, as we continue working together towards ending homelessness in Wales.”
