One of Cardiff’s best-known restaurants has been announced as the exclusive food partner for the premium VIP area at this summer’s Blackweir concert series, as demand for tickets continues to surge.
Pasture will cater The Garden, the VIP hospitality area at the Blackweir Live taking place at Blackweir Fields.
The restaurant will be the sole food trader within The Garden across the event series, serving guests attending the headline concerts as thousands prepare to descend on the site for a packed summer of live music.
The announcement comes as ticket demand intensifies across the Blackweir programme, with general admission already sold out for several shows.
VIP Garden tickets are now among the only remaining ways for fans to secure access to selected performances.
Among the most in-demand dates, shows by The Cure on 24 June and Lewis Capaldi on 30 June are fully sold out across both general admission and the VIP Garden.
For other major dates, including Teddy Swims on 26 June and Pitbull on 4 July, general admission tickets have sold out, with only limited Garden passes still available.
The Garden has been designed to offer an enhanced concert experience, with guests benefiting from a dedicated viewing area close to the stage, a private Garden Bar serving premium drinks, fire-cooked food from Pasture, premium toilet facilities, souvenir wristbands and separate entry lanes.
Pasture’s involvement brings one of Cardiff’s most recognisable hospitality brands into the centre of the event series.
Known for its fire-led cooking and ingredient-focused menus, the restaurant will provide the only food offering available within The Garden, including flame-grilled burgers, its signature steaks served with house-made peppercorn or chimichurri sauce, and vegan options.
Sam Elliott, Chef and Owner at Pasture, said: “We’re incredibly excited to be partnering with the team behind Blackweir, and to bring Pasture out of the restaurant to such an iconic setting.
“Cooking over fire, serving great food and being part of a landmark event for the city feels like a natural fit for what we do.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming guests into the VIP Garden to soak up the atmosphere while enjoying the flavours and fire-led cooking that Pasture is known for.”
Nick Saunders, founder of DEPOT and promoter of the Blackweir series, said: “Pasture are one of Cardiff’s best-known independent restaurant brands and a brilliant fit for the kind of premium experience we want to create at The Garden.
“With demand so high across the Blackweir series, we want to give concertgoers a memorable way to enjoy some of the summer’s biggest shows – with great views, great atmosphere and fantastic food from the Pasture team.”
