As almost 30,000 people took to the streets of Cardiff for the capital’s annual Half Marathon on Sunday morning, many did so to represent and raise funds for Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital Charity.

With the Cardiff Half Marathon being one of Wales’ largest annual fundraising events, it is a vitally important method of raising funds and awareness for charities such as Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital.

Over £135,000 was raised at the event for the charity, a milestone that will allow them to continue their important work such as providing equipment, services, and support to children and their families.

GS Verde Group made an important collaboration with Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital for the event, from sponsoring the official running vests, to having team members participate in the race for the charity.

The business-focused expert group, who work across multiple disciplines, displayed their commitment to community enterprise and to Noah’s Ark’s vital work.

Lucy Jones, head of fundraising and development at the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital Charity, celebrated Sunday’s success: “Our supporters never cease to amaze us with their passion and commitment.

“Every single pound raised will make a tangible difference to children receiving care at Noah’s Ark.”

Nigel Greenway, CEO of GS Verde Group, also stated: “We’re honoured to have supported such an inspiring cause and to have seen so many people come together for the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital Charity.

“The dedication of everyone involved, from the runners to the organisers, shows the incredible strength of the community spirit here in Wales.”
