Businesses across Mid and West Wales are being offered new funding aimed at helping employers build more inclusive workforces while supporting the transition to a greener economy.

The grants have been launched by Porth Gwyrdd, a partnership between Antur Cymru, Foothold Cymru, PLANED and Menter Gorllewin Sir Gâr.

A limited number of inclusive employment grants for 2026 are now available to businesses based in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and Powys.

The programme is designed to help organisations connect with young talent while creating more diverse and sustainable workplaces.

By encouraging inclusive employment opportunities, the initiative aims to support businesses to grow responsibly while contributing to their local communities and the wider shift toward a greener economy.

Porth Gwyrdd is funded through the Dormant Assets Scheme and distributed by The National Lottery Community Fund.

It works with employers to develop opportunities for young people with disabilities and those from ethnic minority backgrounds, while also helping businesses embed sustainability and develop skills needed for the future workforce.

Through the grant programme, participating businesses will receive both financial and practical support to bring young people aged 16 to 30 into their organisations.

The placements are intended to give participants valuable work experience while allowing businesses to benefit from new ideas and perspectives.

Emma Taylor, Employer Engagement & Support Manager for Porth Gwyrdd, said: “This is a great opportunity for businesses across Mid and West Wales to access funding to grow their workforce while receiving a package of support to help them become more diverse and environmentally sustainable employers.”

With only a limited number of grants available, businesses are being encouraged to register their interest early to receive further information about eligibility and how to apply.
