Commercial cleaning firm Mrs Buckét has been named as an approved provider on Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council’s (RCTCBC) cleaning framework for education sites—marking the Swansea-based company’s first appointment to a local authority education contract.

The three-year framework, set to begin in October 2025 with the option to extend, allows schools and educational establishments across Rhondda Cynon Taf to select Mrs Buckét as their cleaning services provider. The appointment is a strategic milestone for the company as it targets growth within the public sector education market.

Mrs Buckét, which currently services more than 25 schools and colleges between Bristol and Swansea, brings extensive experience in delivering tailored cleaning solutions in educational settings. The company also specialises in managing staff transitions through TUPE (Transfer of Undertakings Protection of Employment) regulations—an area often seen as a logistical challenge for public institutions.

CEO and founder Rachael Flanagan described the win as a “huge step forward” for the firm. “It’s our first time on a local authority education framework, which is a fantastic achievement for the team who’ve worked so hard on this tender,” she said. “The public sector education market has been a key growth focus for us, and this recognition shows we’re making progress.”

Flanagan emphasised the company’s commitment to a smooth onboarding process. “We pride ourselves on high standards and our ability to integrate existing staff into the Mrs Buckét workforce, ensuring continuity and minimal disruption,” she added.

Founded in Swansea, Mrs Buckét has evolved into an award-winning commercial cleaning business with a growing client base across the South West and South Wales. The new framework opportunity allows the company to expand further into the public sector while contributing to cleaner, safer environments for students and staff alike.

Schools in Rhondda Cynon Taf will be able to appoint Mrs Buckét as their cleaning partner starting from October 2025.
