Mentera has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of Lois Wynne as its new Junior Board Member, following a competitive recruitment process.
Originally from Corwen, Wynne brings with her seven years of experience at global manufacturing leader Ifor Williams Trailers, where she developed a strong track record in strategic planning and commercial management.
Her appointment marks a significant step in Mentera’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of business leaders in Wales. In her new role, Wynne will provide fresh insight to support the organisation’s mission of helping Welsh businesses and communities to thrive both locally and internationally.
At Ifor Williams Trailers, she worked across several areas of the business, including change management, and most recently served as an Account and Sales Manager. She played a key role in steering the company through post-Brexit adjustments and pandemic-related challenges, gaining experience across the full spectrum of global manufacturing operations.
Speaking on her appointment, Lois Wynne said: “Having spent my career so far in a global business, I have seen first-hand the importance of adaptability and strategic thinking.
“I am excited to bring this experience to Mentera and contribute to its mission of empowering Welsh businesses to compete on the world stage. As a young professional who returned to Wales, I am passionate about ensuring our nation’s economy and industries continue to develop.
“I look forward to be working with the board to help ensure that Welsh businesses are equipped to thrive both here at home and on the world stage.”
Fflur Jones, Chair of Mentera, welcomed the appointment, adding: “We are delighted to welcome Lois to the Mentera board. Her extensive experience in change management, sales and account management within a large, globally-operating company is invaluable.
“Lois has a proven ability to navigate complex challenges, drive growth, and lead with a strategic mindset, which perfectly complements our vision of creating a prosperous economy for Wales.”
