Iris Care Group expands supported living provision with Newport acquisition

Iris Care Group has expanded its supported living operations with the acquisition of Elysium Cymru Ltd, adding two services in Newport to its portfolio.

The deal includes The Grove and Kensington Place, both of which provide supported living services for adults with complex needs.

Established in 2008, Elysium Cymru Ltd has provided specialist supported living and residential care. The acquisition takes Iris Care Group’s total number of services to 63, spanning specialist hospitals, supported living, residential and nursing care, as well as a special educational needs college.

The group said the acquisition forms part of its continued operational growth and plans to expand its specialist care provision through further strategic acquisitions and the development of services in the community.
