Accountancy and business advisory firm Hazlewoods has supported Iris Care Group with financial due diligence on its latest acquisition — ALP Supported Living Services Ltd — marking a major expansion of the group’s operations in Wales.
The deal sees St Mellons-based Iris Care Group, a leading provider of complex care services across Wales and the South West of England, strengthen its supported living division with four new services launched in South Wales.
ALP Supported Living Services has delivered high-quality care for adults in South Wales for more than two decades. Its integration into Iris Care Group represents a key milestone in the group’s wider growth strategy, as it looks to scale and expand its specialist care offerings throughout the UK.
Hazlewoods, which recently opened a new Cardiff office, provided financial due diligence on the transaction through its healthcare corporate finance team — led by Richard Dade, Alex Griffiths, and Jeremy Brass.
Richard Dade, Partner at Hazlewoods, said: “Iris Care Group’s high-quality network of care and support services aligns with the values we see driving real impact in the care sector, and it’s great to see their growth strategy continue within Wales. It’s been a pleasure assisting them with this acquisition.”
Iris Care Group operates 31 services across Gloucestershire and Wiltshire and employs over 1,700 staff. Its service portfolio includes specialist hospitals, residential homes, a dedicated special educational needs college, nursing care, and supported living.
Dr. Andrew Jones, CEO at Iris Care Group, commented: “We’re delighted to add ALP Supported Living Services to our portfolio, allowing us to extend our high-quality supported living services into Wales. We look forward to building on our existing presence in England and Wales to implement our knowledge and expertise to ensure more people with complex needs access the right care in both regions.”
Hazlewoods, one of the largest independent accountancy and advisory firms in the South West, is continuing to grow its presence across the UK, with established teams in Cheltenham, Bristol, and now Cardiff. The firm is known for its specialist sector expertise, particularly in healthcare.
