Guilford Street Laboratories (GSL) has completed its third funding round, securing fresh investment to support clinical development and expansion, in a deal advised by Cardiff-based GS Verde – An AAB Group Company.
The round was oversubscribed and is expected to strengthen its CoreLab capabilities and support the scaling of operations.
The funding will be used to advance clinical validation studies in areas including Parkinson’s disease and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), while also accelerating product development and generating further clinical evidence for its diagnostics platform.
As part of its expansion plans, GSL is set to open new laboratory space at Kadans Science Partner in King’s Cross, London.
The investment will also enable the company to grow its team, with additional hires planned across research and development and operational functions.
Tomas Baldwin, Chief Executive of GSL, said: “This funding marks a major step forward for Guilford Street Laboratories as we continue to advance a new generation of blood-based diagnostics.
“The strength of support from both new and existing investors reflects growing confidence in our platform, our clinical progress, and our vision to transform how complex diseases are detected and managed.
“With this investment, we are well positioned to accelerate clinical validation, expand our capabilities and infrastructure, and move closer to delivering impactful tests into real-world clinical settings.”
GS Verde supported the transaction, providing advisory services throughout the funding process.
