Go.Compare hires former Google executive Sophia Glennon to lead digital growth

Go.Compare has appointed former Google executive Sophia Glennon as head of digital growth as the business looks to strengthen its marketing strategy amid changes in the search landscape.

She joins the business with more than a decade of experience in digital marketing within the insurance and personal finance sectors.

Glennon began her career at Admiral before moving to Confused.com, where she progressed from marketing assistant to PPC manager and led the paid search team for more than five years.

She later returned to Admiral’s research and development division, working on projects linked to Admiral Money, LeLynx.fr and Firstcarquote, before spending almost seven years at Google as a senior industry manager.

During her time at Google, Glennon worked with insurance brands including Go.Compare, Vitality, AXA, LV=, Legal & General and Simply Business, advising on search strategy and digital planning across platforms such as YouTube.

Her industry recognition includes winning Google and The Drum’s Women in Search award in 2016 and Best Use of Data in PPC at the Drum Search Awards.
