FOR Cardiff, the Business Improvement District for the Welsh capital, has opened applications to appoint up to three new board directors as it prepares its next five-year business plan.
The recruitment drive, which is open to public applications for the first time, comes ahead of the development of the organisation’s 2026–2031 strategy and reflects a focus on inclusive governance and priorities around ESG, inclusion and place-based economic development.
Executive Director, Carolyn Brownell, said: “This is a valuable opportunity for individuals who care about Cardiff’s future to contribute to the long-term vision for the city centre.
“The new Board Directors will help guide key decisions that shape Cardiff’s growth, identity and resilience.
“This process is about finding the right people, not just the most senior.
“FOR Cardiff is actively looking for a range of voices and experiences to ensure the Board reflects the business and community interests it represents.”
The organisation is seeking candidates with skills in areas such as finance and audit, SME leadership, data and insights, HR and organisational development, or sustainability and social value.
Applications should be sent to recruitment@forcardiff.com by the 30th January 2026; shortlisted candidates will be invited to interview in early February.
Successful applicants will then begin an induction programme ahead of formally joining the FOR Cardiff Board.
