Cardiff-based electric vehicle provider FleetEV is celebrating a national industry win after being named Best Public Sector Fleet Partnership at the Transport + Energy Awards 2025.

FleetEV was recognised for its work under the Welsh Government Procurement Framework for Electric Vehicles, which supports public sector organisations across Wales in transitioning to cleaner transport.

The Transport + Energy Awards, now in their third year, recognise achievements across the transport and energy sectors.

The 2025 ceremony was hosted by presenter, screenwriter and author Konnie Huq, with 13 awards presented, including four new categories introduced this year.

The Best Public Sector Fleet Partnership award recognises collaborations that have delivered fleet decarbonisation and significant reductions in carbon emissions.

The judges said: “Their collaborative approach is delivering meaningful progress in decarbonising public sector fleets.”

Through the Welsh Government’s Collaborative Procurement Framework, FleetEV has supported public bodies across Wales to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles, delivering more than 400 EVs in 2024.

In addition to environmental benefits, the partnership has delivered financial savings of more than £1.2m compared with traditional procurement routes.

The work is supported by a £45m commercial delivery framework and has previously been recognised with a national GO Award for Best Procurement Delivery.

The Cabinet Secretary for Finance and Welsh Language, Mark Drakeford, said: “The Welsh Government is committed to achieving zero carbon emissions by 2050.

“Through our collaborative procurement framework, we are supporting public bodies to transition to electric vehicles, which is an important step toward that ambition.

“We welcome the recognition of these efforts at the Transport + Energy Awards.”

Jarrad Morris, Founder and CEO of FleetEV, said: “We are thrilled to have won the award for Best Public Sector Fleet Partnership.

“This recognition celebrates the power of collaboration between the public and private sectors to deliver cleaner, more efficient transport solutions.

“Working alongside the Welsh Government, we have been able to accelerate the transition of electric vehicles across Wales, reducing emissions, cutting costs, and paving the way for a greener future.

“This award is testament to what can be achieved when innovation, partnership, and sustainability come together.”
