Cardiff-based electric vehicle (EV) provider FleetEV held a high-profile pop-up event at the Senedd in Cardiff Bay earlier this month, spotlighting its growing role in Wales’ green transport revolution. The event brought together politicians, business leaders, and sustainability advocates to showcase the company’s EV and smart charging solutions.
FleetEV revealed that it has delivered over 400 electric vehicles to the Welsh public sector in the past year alone, generating savings of more than £1.2 million through the Welsh Government Commercial Delivery (WGCD) framework. The achievement underscores the firm’s commitment to supporting efficient, cost-effective EV transitions across the public sector.
Sister company PLUG Charging also took the opportunity to demonstrate its innovative lamp column chargers, following its recent inclusion on the Welsh Government’s EV Charging Infrastructure Framework.
The contract will enable PLUG Charging to roll out a range of sustainable infrastructure solutions across Wales — from EV charger installations to solar roofs and carports — further cementing its role as a key player in the national shift toward low-carbon transport.

Jarrad Morris, CEO and Founder of both FleetEV and PLUG Charging, said the event offered a vital platform for dialogue: “We’re proud to be leading the way in making electric vehicles more accessible and helping to drive the shift towards a more sustainable future. Engaging directly with policymakers and the public ensures EV adoption and infrastructure remain central to the conversation.”
The event also celebrated sustainability partnerships and community initiatives. Players from Netball Super League team LexisNexis Cardiff Dragons — who are working with PLUG Charging as sustainability partners for the 2025 season — joined the event to engage attendees with a goal-scoring challenge and prize giveaway. Cardiff Dragons’ Sustainability Officer, Elle McDonald, commented:
“The showcase outside the Senedd was a great opportunity to highlight how important EV adoption is and the impact policy has on shaping a greener future.”
Also present was 2B Enterprising, which shared details of its Bumbles of Honeywood programme — a primary school initiative teaching enterprise and sustainability skills. FleetEV currently supports 20 Welsh schools through the programme, including five Welsh-medium institutions.
Marketing Manager Tracy Bracher noted: “Children are learning how EVs contribute to a greener future, and events like this help demonstrate the impact of business-education partnerships.”
The showcase attracted notable figures including Delyth Jewell, Deputy Leader of Plaid Cymru and Climate Change Spokesperson; Llyr Gruffydd, Chair of the Senedd’s Climate Change, Environment and Infrastructure Committee; and Daniel De’Ath, Cardiff Council Cabinet Member for Climate Change and Transport.
FleetEV continues to expand its services across Wales and the UK, offering tailored EV leasing, salary sacrifice schemes, and fleet solutions for both public and private sector clients. The company’s appearance at the Senedd underscores its growing influence in Wales’ clean energy transition — and its commitment to ensuring that sustainability is as accessible as it is essential.
