Established telecommunications provider, Elite Group Wales, have been acquired by Swansea-based telecom expert, Nick Foden, who has over 20 years in the industry.
The company had begun locally in the 1970’s as ‘Elite Aerials’, specialising in installing and repairing TV aerials in the Swansea area.
It has since expanded its services across communications and technology as well as its clientele, working with houses, local authorities, and establishments such as universities.
The major transformation Elite Group Wales underwent was in 2022 when Ross Adams acquired the company.
Adams took the company from a group of aerial experts to the multi-service provider it is known as today, rebranding themselves from Elite Aerials to Elite Group to reflect its evolution.
Starlink and fibre connectivity were new service areas that were introduced to the company through Adams, other services that were introduced include audiovisual solutions.
Internal investment was made during this time into CRM systems, marketing, and a new website.
The fast-growing markets such as Starlink that the company specialises in was appealing to new owner, Nick Foden due to its high demand across communities, businesses and sites that require top of the range internet speed.
Since acquiring Elite Group, Foden has made no changes to existing contracts, customers or suppliers, valuing continuity and previous success through the process of the company’s six-figure sale.
Foden said: “I have spent most of my career working in telecoms and connectivity, but I had been looking for the right opportunity to run my own business,” said Nick. “Elite Group Wales has a fantastic reputation, a skilled team and huge potential in areas I am genuinely passionate about. I am excited about what the future holds.”
Former owner, Adams said: “Elite Group Wales has a great history, and I am incredibly proud of the progress we have made over the last few years. Nick understands the sector, the opportunities ahead and the importance of the people behind the business. I am delighted that Elite is in such safe hands going forward.”
