Orbis Education and Care has opened a new early years provision in Presteigne, creating more than 20 jobs.
The new facility, named The Meadows, is based at Summergil House and will cater for children aged between four and seven with complex needs associated with autism.
It has been designed in line with the early years curriculum to support pupils at the start of their education.
The Meadows is located within the grounds of Summergil House, a well-established school that Orbis Education and Care has operated on the 18-acre site for nearly two decades.
The provision was officially opened by the organisation’s CEO, Andy Cresswell, alongside Hilary Jones, Head of Service for Additional Needs at Herefordshire Council.
The new school aims to provide a bright and stimulating learning environment to support children’s development during the early stages of their educational journey.
The opening will also lead to the creation of more than 20 roles, including positions for teachers and learning support assistants, as the organisation looks to expand its team in the area.
Andy Cresswell, CEO of Orbis Education and Care, said at the official opening of The Meadows: “It is wonderful to add The Meadows to our educational offering, especially as it’s an early years provision.
“We are looking for dedicated people to join our team here in Presteigne, who are interested in making a difference to these young children, many of whom will be taking their first steps into a formal educational setting.”
