Danielle Aberg has been announced as the new Chair in the Wales branch for national networking and influencer organisation, Women in Property, after serving as Vice Chair for the last year.

Aberg is the Head of Social Sustainability & Consulting at social value software platform Thrive and has taken the role from the start of this month until the end of February next year.

Women in Property’s new chair brings over 20 years of social sustainability experience across various sectors including construction to the organisation.

Initiatives at Women in Property in 2026 include their national conference, the People-Innovation-Place Summit in Manchester, among others.

Danielle said: “I’m genuinely honoured to step into the role of Branch Chair and support our regional team here in Wales.

“Women in Property exists to support women throughout their entire career journey, from early influence at school, through early careers, and right up to stepping confidently into senior leadership.

“We do that through networking, education and mentoring, but at its heart this is about something simpler: people supporting people.

“I truly believe in the power of small actions. A conversation. An introduction. A piece of advice. A visible role model.

“Individually they may feel small, but collectively they shape someone’s experience of this sector, and sometimes their decision to stay in it.

“This network is about all of us doing those small things that, together, make a very big difference.

“The numbers remind us why this matters. Women still account for only around 15% of the property and construction industry.

“That statistic speaks for itself. It means we have a responsibility, not just to encourage women into the sector, but to create visible pathways and sustainable routes that support progression and long-term careers.”

Neil MacDonald, CEO at Thrive, said: “We’re delighted that Danni has taken on the role of Branch Chair.

“We’re strong advocates for the advancement of women across the property sector and for progressing the wider social value agenda, both of which are critical to building a more sustainable and inclusive industry.
