A Cardiff-based creative manufacturing company, Wild Creations, is experiencing significant growth on the international stage, supported by the Welsh Government’s Business Wales service.
Specialising in large-scale props and display installations, Wild Creations has built an impressive global client base by designing and delivering striking visual pieces for theme parks, major entertainment launches, and public events around the world. The company’s portfolio includes a life-sized Tyrannosaurus Rex used to promote Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom in 2018, and a replica Dodge Charger built for the launch of Fast and Furious 8.
Closer to home, the team is best known for headline-grabbing projects like the iconic “Ball in the Wall” at Cardiff Castle for the 2015 Rugby World Cup and a 13-foot smoke-breathing dragon at Caerphilly Castle in partnership with Cadw.
With exports now making up 90% of its business, Wild Creations is in the midst of a dynamic scale-up phase. Over the past year, the company has created 36 high-quality jobs and is continuing to recruit as demand for its work increases internationally.
Founder and Director Matt Wild credited Business Wales for playing a crucial role in their growth journey.

“Business Wales’ support has been truly outstanding,” he said. “Their dedication to helping both growing and new businesses thrive is incredibly inspiring. It’s fantastic to see them championing success at every stage of the journey.”
The company recently welcomed Rebecca Evans, Cabinet Secretary for Economy, Energy and Planning, who visited Wild Creations’ Cardiff headquarters to tour current projects and speak with staff.
As part of the visit, Evans also met with other Welsh enterprises benefiting from Business Wales to discuss the broader business support landscape. The event was hosted by Business in Focus, the social enterprise leading delivery of the Business Wales Entrepreneurship and Growth programmes.
“We are eager to unlock new opportunities for businesses across Wales,” said Evans. “Whether it’s access to finance, developing leadership, or navigating challenges, Business Wales is here to support companies like Wild Creations every step of the way.”
Phil Jones, CEO of Business in Focus, added:
“As the lead delivery partner for Business Wales, we’re proud to work alongside start-ups and scaling businesses, offering tailored support to help them grow, create jobs, and succeed both in Wales and internationally.”
Wild Creations’ rapid growth reflects a wider trend among Welsh creative and manufacturing businesses capitalising on export opportunities and government-backed support to expand their reach and impact globally.
