The Celtic Manor Resort has been crowned the UK’s Best Hotel at the Meetings & Incentive Travel (M&IT) Awards in London.
On the same night, sister venue International Convention Centre Wales (ICC Wales) collected a silver award for Best UK Conference Centre at the ceremony, held on 19 September at JW Marriott Grosvenor House.
The win marks the eleventh time Celtic Manor has taken the Gold Award in the Best UK Hotel category. The resort, part of The Celtic Collection, beat rivals including Chewton Glen, The Gleneagles Hotel and The Grand Hotel Birmingham. It was also the only independent hotel operator shortlisted in the Best Hotel Brand category.
With facilities including the 1,500-seat Ian Edwards Conference Centre and the 900-capacity Caernarfon Suite, the resort continues to position itself as a leading UK venue for large-scale events, conferences and gala dinners.
Rachel Phillips, Sales Director at The Celtic Collection, said: “Being crowned the best hotel in the UK for the eleventh time is a remarkable achievement for The Celtic Manor Resort. Accolades like this are built on the hard work and expertise of our teams, who deliver exceptional standards across every aspect of the guest experience. This award reflects our continued investment in people, facilities and service, and reinforces our standing as one of the UK’s most respected hospitality brands.”
ICC Wales also maintained its silver award for Best UK Conference Centre, marking the third consecutive year it has achieved this recognition.
Julie Hammond, Group CEO of ICC Wales and The Celtic Collection, said: “It is an honour to see Celtic Manor Resort, ICC Wales, and The Celtic Collection recognised once again with these prestigious awards. Achieving Gold and Silver across such competitive categories speaks volumes about the consistent quality and commitment of our teams. These wins are not only a celebration of our people and venues but also a testament to Wales’ growing reputation as a destination for world-class meetings, conferences and events.”
The Celtic Collection and ICC Wales are also shortlisted for further accolades at the upcoming miaList Awards and ABPCO Excellence Awards later this year.
