Long-standing local business Bridgend Ford is set to continue its headline partnership with Run 4 Wales, having confirmed its support for the 2026 10K Series. The family-run dealership, which has been serving South Wales since 1986, has now been involved with the popular running events for six consecutive years.
The partnership sees Bridgend Ford provide lead vehicles for Run 4 Wales’ flagship 10K events, helping set the pace for elite runners and first-timers alike across races in Barry Island, Porthcawl, and Cardiff.
Craig Owens, Marketing Co-ordinator at Bridgend Ford, said the dealership is proud to once again play a part in the fast-growing race series.
“We love supplying the lead vehicles for the Run 4 Wales 10K Series and are extremely proud to once again be leading the races in 2026,” he said.
“We’re passionate about helping athletes smash course records and, just like we pride ourselves in quality vehicles, we enjoy helping runners achieve their best.”
Beyond race day logistics, the dealership sees parallels between its wide-ranging customer base and the diversity of runners who take part in the series.
“It’s always great to see a huge range of runners taking part across the 10K series, from seasoned pros to those taking part in their first race, and just like the range of runners taking part in these events, we have a huge range of new cars and commercial vehicles available as well as over 300 used cars of all makes and models to suit all needs and requirements,” Owens added.
“If you’re interested in a new car, our award-winning team and dedicated and knowledgeable staff are happy to help, so come and pay us a visit.”
Bridgend Ford’s ongoing support has become an integral part of the Run 4 Wales experience, contributing to the events’ smooth delivery and helping to build momentum year-on-year.
Matt Newman, Chief Executive at Run 4 Wales, welcomed the dealership’s continued involvement.
“We’re so pleased that Bridgend Ford will be back with us for the 2026 race season supporting us in our Barry Island, Porthcawl and Cardiff 10K events,” he said.
“For the past six years its cars have been leading our runners to smash course records and achieve personal bests and we’re hoping this will continue for 2026 and beyond.”
The Run 4 Wales 10K Series is a major fixture in the Welsh sporting calendar, attracting thousands of runners annually and generating significant footfall for local economies. With Bridgend Ford once again in the driving seat, both on the road and as a committed regional partner, 2026 promises to be another strong year for community sport in South Wales.
