Welsh aviation asset specialist AerFin has officially opened its new global headquarters at Indurent Park in Newport, a move that cements its commitment to Wales and supports the company’s continued international expansion.

The opening, held on Thursday, June 5, was marked by a visit from Rebecca Evans MS, the Welsh Government’s Cabinet Secretary for Economy, Energy and Planning, who met with AerFin’s leadership team and toured the new 116,000 sq. ft. facility.

The state-of-the-art headquarters is designed to enhance operational efficiency, double the company’s engine MRO (maintenance, repair, and overhaul) capacity, and support up to 200 quick turn shop visits annually. It also underscores AerFin’s commitment to job creation and sustainability, with a strong focus on skilled employment, apprenticeships, and low-carbon aviation practices.

“AerFin is a Welsh success story which is going from strength to strength, and I was pleased to celebrate its global growth at the opening of its new headquarters,” said Cabinet Secretary Rebecca Evans.
“It is fantastic that the company is committed to creating highly skilled jobs here in Wales and investing in apprenticeships, while increasing sustainability in the aviation sector through innovation.”

Founded in 2010, AerFin has grown into a leading global player in the aviation aftermarket, serving over 600 customers worldwide. The company specialises in buying, selling, leasing and repairing aircraft, engines, and parts — with a focus on extending asset life through reuse, repair and recycling.

The Newport headquarters joins regional hubs in Gatwick, Dublin, Miami, and Singapore, reflecting the company’s global ambitions while keeping Wales at the core of its operations.

“We were proud to welcome the Cabinet Secretary to officially open our new headquarters and to showcase the work we’re doing here in Wales to support the global aviation industry,” said Simon Goodson, CEO of AerFin.
“This new facility is more than just a building — it’s a symbol of our growth, our values, and our long-term commitment to sustainable innovation and job creation in Wales.”

As AerFin celebrates its 15th anniversary, the opening of the Newport HQ marks a significant chapter in its evolution — driving international impact while remaining rooted in its Welsh origins.
