Acuity Law completes 40 dental sector deals to round off tax year

Daniel Bevan - Senior Journalist
The Corporate Healthcare Team at leading UK law firm Acuity Law is celebrating a milestone achievement, having completed 40 deals in the dental sector in the first quarter of 2025.
The firm’s specialist dental mergers and acquisitions (M&A) division, believed to be the largest dedicated dental M&A team of any UK law firm, successfully finalised transactions for individual and corporate dental providers. These included purchases, sales, investments, restructurings, and refinancing.
Headquartered in Cardiff, Acuity Law is one of the fastest-growing law firms in the UK, with a national presence that includes offices in Birmingham, Leeds, Liverpool, Bristol, London, and Swansea. With around 150 professionals, the firm is committed to delivering innovative legal solutions and exceptional service to its business clients.
The high volume of deals was largely driven by the close of both the NHS financial year and the tax year, which concluded on 5th April.
Jon Lawley, Partner and Head of the Dental M&A Division, said: “The team’s efforts were truly heroic, especially in the period running up to the end of the tax year on 5th April.
“To complete so many deals in such a short space of time is testament to their level of specialist knowledge and their hard work. Our strength in depth also ensures we can maintain our excellent service levels and advise a broad spectrum of clients on a full range of transactions.”
This strong start to the year follows the recent appointment of Clare Emery as a Partner in the Corporate Healthcare Team. Clare brings more than 20 years of legal experience advising dental professionals on buying, selling, and restructuring practices.
Acuity Law has built a strong reputation as a frontrunner in strategic M&A for care and dental businesses. The team provides expertise in M&A, disposals, shareholder arrangements, corporate governance, strategic investments, due diligence, and regulatory compliance.
In addition to dental and healthcare M&A, the firm supports private health and social care clients with services including refinancing, corporate and property acquisition programmes, property development, fundraising, venture capital, disposals, and reorganisations.
Jon added: “Through our 360-degree service to health and social care businesses, we are honoured to support our clients as they navigate every stage of the transaction process and are able to draw on the specialist knowledge of our Real Estate, Immigration, Employment, and Commercial & Technology specialists, who form part of our transaction team.”
